Yesterday was my first day without summer school! I actually prefer summer school to sleeping in. I like how summer school gets me up and ready for the day, whereas sleeping in makes me super lazy and sloth-like. I like having set plans at set times, and that’s hard to do in a society where teens just seems to go with the flow. Anyway, I’ll live.
I ended up staying in until 5:00 PM just chilling on my laptop. Silly, isn’t it? Frank Zator, Gabrielle Wray, and I went to the Orland Square mall to see who I thought was playing (Love Me Electric). It turns out, LME isn’t playing until July 24! It was The Show and Tell who played. It was an alright performance. We ended up coming in late because we thought it started at 7:00 PM, but it started half an hour before. Steve was the only one who played as well, which was alright because he’s the voice of the band. I think it would have been a lot better though if everyone sat up there and did something. It’s cool though. Whatever floats their boats!
Before the show, though, we went to various stores in the mall including the Mac store! Gabby and I took photos on Photobooth while Frank stood out of the way. I really don’t know why he didn’t want to be in the photos with us. Silly! It was a lot of fun though. I love Photobooth!
Anyway, we watched Steve play, then started our journey back to Manhattan. As we approached the doors to leave, we noticed it was pouring! It was shocking. Ha. I loved it though. I’ve come to love rain. It smells so good, and it’s so fresh and pretty.
I digress. I ended up dropping Gabby off at home and taking Frank back to my house to watch movies. We tried watching the Land Before Time: The Wisdom of Friends, but it was way too cheesy and lame! So we put in Beowulf, which was also really lame and extremely boring. I didn’t like how everything in the movie was basically fake and computer generated. We ended up just fast forwarding the film to the end while making up dialogue, which was a lot more entertaining! You should try it sometime.
That’s pretty much it. Nothing too exciting! Although, I admit yesterday was a strange day.
Goal for today: Do not text while driving and compliment at least 5 people.

It’s been a busy past few days. Monday, we finished The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time (I failed to correctly state the title in the last post!). I really enjoyed how the novel ended. It left you hanging, grasping for a conclusion. I love that! It provokes imagination and logical thinking. I honestly cannot remember what else was done in class, besides the facts that Jamie Morgan was absent, and we got our final project. The final project was pretty awesome. We had to make a Facebook or MySpace for Christopher John Francis Boone. I enjoyed it! After school, I dropped Courtney Learn off as usual and chilled at home on Stickam with Mike Martire until it was time to go to Mojoe’s and sign the contract and pay up. My party is official! After paying, my mum dropped me off at youth group. I was about an hour later, and they were only singing the last song! They must have started late or something. Anyway, youth group was amazing as usual. I love it. I love God. I really wish I was closer; it really is hard to become so close. It’s worth it though. It’s the best thing for humanity. Then, I hung out with Martire in my town for a few hours. We just walked/skated around and went to the park. There were fourteen-year-olds there that were drinking and terrified of getting caught by the police. It was pretty funny!
Yesterday was the busiest. School was a drag, but Courtney and I got Taco Bell afterwards! It definitely payed off! I got home with half an hour to spare, then had to go to W Dance for Street Funk. I absolutely love that class; I love dance in general! Dance makes me happy, really. I could be in a really bad mood, but after dancing, it’s all better. Once dance was over, I went home to finish my project and rough draft for the writing final. Then I went to The Hub for a meeting to discuss how we are going to better The Hub. We really want to get out there and make a difference. We want you to be amazed with what we hope is a unique, fun, exciting experience. We’ll try our hardest! With the Lord, everything is possible. Back to details, Gavin Fleagle kicked me in the arm! It hurt so bad. Haha. I’m okay though; it’s not really a big deal. I had a lot of fun last night, and I got Martire to come! Justin Kershaw was there too! I love my friends.
Today was the last day of summer school! Finally! I’m so excited to be able to sleep in now. Haha. It’s going to be great. All I did today was complete English 4 and chill at home. The only majour thing was interviewing Rival Summers, which was really fun! Leo is really fun to talk to. Plus, he likes Spongebob and Jolly Ranchers! I also am falling in love with Owl City. Adam Young is fantastic! His music is like no other. His music makes me happy.
Goal for tomorrow: Do not swear and try to stay positive. Turn someone’s frown upside down!

I’ve stayed in all weekend, and I haven’t showered since Friday. Talk about highly attractive! All I’ve been doing the past two, uneventful days is promoting Midnight Society, watching Spongebob, texting, and checking out bands that have requested me on MySpace. I’ve been so utterly lazy this weekend. It’s most likely due to summer school, considering I get 3-4 hours of sleep during the week due to restlessness and the fact that it’s summer. I only have three days of summer school left though, so that’s pretty exciting! I won’t have any English courses senior year - what a relief! Also, the new Harry Potter comes out Wednesday, so it’s perfect timing! (If someone could please take me to see that, that’d be super amazing.)
Anyway, moving on! Tomorrow, I, as you may already know, have summer school. We’re currently reading The Curious Incident of a Dog in the Night-Time; it’s an amazing book about a young boy with a form of Autism. I definitely recommend it! When school lets out tomorrow, I may, hopefully, hang out with Mike Martire. I also have to go to Mojoe’s to sign the contract and pay the down payment ($600 big ones!) for my 18th birthday show/party. I am beyond ecstatic, and cannot wait until the day of! Holy moly! Lastly, I’ll be going to youth group at my church! Tomorrow should be a pretty exciting, solid day!
I’ve realized that I NEED to start being more positive about life. I mean, it’s the only one I’ve got, so why not just be happy and play the cards life deals me?! Life is hard, but with a smile, I know I can get through it. I just need to fully grasp that. So, starting today, I’m going to set a goal, no matter how big or small, for myself to achieve everyday.
Today’s goal is to do the dishes and clean out the litter box for my mother since I barely do without being told.
Tomorrow’s goal is to give a compliment to someone I hardly speak to.
